I have created art with wood since I was a child in my parents wood shop.  As an architect I  amassed several pieces of wood from siding samples to reclaimed wood from demolished buildings. I have been creating mountain murals for years, often for architectural clients using the wood from their home's exterior! I began painting on some of these a few years ago as well after working with a client who sided their home in the most amazing reclaimed wood from old Brazilian barns.  I love the challenge of using what might otherwise have become firewood to create a beautiful image.
